A Dad and His Daughter

For the longest time, Sabine would sob if I went anywhere without her and refused to leave the house if I wasn't leaving, too. Now, every weekend morning after breakfast, she waits by the front door for her dad to take her somewhere. Anywhere. Just the two of them. She kisses me, says, "bye ma," and waves an elfin wave without looking back.

OMG...so adorable! I wonder when Olivia will start doing that? This post made me tear up a little but in a good way.

I LOOOVE all the pictures!

This child of yours looks just like her father. Yet she looks just like you as well! But all around she looks just like Sabine and she's just precious!

This is very encouraging towards the baby making -- you are fantastic at crafting the whole picture of parenting with your writing... I love it...

Wow, then there's hope with my 20 month old.

@Nancy and Anon, yes, there's hope. I've found that I had to send them off alone together like this CONSISTENTLY (always hyped up the outing and how much fun it was going to be). That way, she got used to it, and began looking forward to their little adventures. She backslides now and then, but for the most part, she's fine.

@MissA, she really does look just like her father. It's uncanny. Thank you!
