iSad

I can't stop thinking about Steve Jobs and his death. Somehow it inspired me to dream all last night about my mother dying. They were both in their late fifties; they both died way too soon; they both experienced two of the worst cancers (not that any of them are good). I can't imagine what his family feels like right now since the rest of world is so devastated and feels the gravity of losing such a visionary. I hope that someday I will have lived long enough to be old and grey and wrinkled and sitting in a rocking chairs, telling my grandchildren all about the genius Steve Jobs and how he changed the world by being brave enough to be himself and think differently.
'you can't connect the dots looking forward. you can only connect them looking backwards. so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. you have to trust in something. your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. because believing that the dots will connect down the road, will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even if it leads you off the well worn path. and that will make all the difference.'

The news of Jobs's death is devastating. He really did change our lives. I cannot imagine what more he would've accomplished in the future. RIP.

Yes, his family must be so distraught. Their loss is so much greater than ours. I hear he was truly a family man. So sad.

This speech is the most amazing and inspiring thing I've heard in a long time. I think we can all take so much from this and apply to our own lives and careers. Thanks for sharing.
